A General Sentinel Model: Towards a Consensus for Plan Monitoring Agents

In this paper, we present a general model for plan sentinel agents. We raise some of the important design issues for sentinel systems, and discuss some of the implications for several DARPA Programs with which we have recent experience. We conclude that sentinel agents will provide both human and automated planners with relevant feedback on plan execution
